"Unsupported audio codec: pcm_s16le" message.

- Can't render to MS DV or MOV DV.
- Can't use any self made profile where I want to use pcm_s16le

Though it works in other editing programs like cinelerra.

openSUSE 12.1 64 bit
kdenlive 8.2.1
MLT 0.7.6

Anyone who knows a solution to this?
Thank in advance

There is a known issue in MLT when using recent FFmpeg version (>= 0.10), see this bug:

Thank you for the reply and the info.

Does anyone know when such a fix would appear in opensuse updates?

Kind regards,

Right

Now I have used the build-script.
Now I have:

kdenlive 0.8.3
mlt 0.7.9
ffmpeg from git

The pcm_s16le audio codec for DV video works again BUT

Only for raw DV (f=dv) or Quicktime (f=mov).

When I use DV in the avi container (f=avi), then not all player play the sound correct (stutter or no sound)

mplayer = o.k.
banshee = o.k.
kaffeine = stutter
vlc = stutter
xine = no sound
kdenlive = o.k.

Kind regards,
Zebulon

Looks like the http://kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=2526 mentioned above for this issue is closed.

So Zebulon - you might have to start a new bug if you wan't your stuttering issue looked at.

Never mind

openSUSE 12.1 just recently updated to kdenlive 0.9.2 and implemented the needed patches from mlt 0.7.9 into mlt 0.7.8

So far also the build script has worked fine.

Thanks for the reply
