Hello, First off, I want to say great job with this software guys. Its simple and easy to use. I really appreciate having an open source solution. Sadly, I am unable to render my 16minute creation in any format. It will typically get to about 14 or 15% and then it will stop with the message, "Rendering Crashed." I am using Ubuntu 8.10. I have all the packages and codecs I think I need. I am posting, below, the terminal read out for the video as I attempt to render. I opened the program through terminal so you should be able to see every single step.
Please help me... Thank You so much and thanks again for the great software.

kdenlive(24764) MainWindow::parseProfiles: RESULTINGÂ MLT PATH: "/usr/share/mlt/profiles/"
and then it crashs... Thanks again.

This has been discussed and workarounds have been found, see this thread: http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/can-only-render-dv-did-install-libmlt-dev-and-redid-config |

I've had just about the same problem (it stalled around 24% for me). I figured out it was a faulty source video file. Removing the parts in my project of that file solved it for me. It's like talking english to someone and right in the middle switching to chinese. Language-technical there's nothing wrong with it, but the guy (read: renderer) you are talking to doesn't understand it anymore.
It may be worth checking out that possibility with your project. Good luck with it! ~FrostRabbit |
