Hi! I have just installed Kdenlive yesterday. I'm very comfortable with its user friendly interface. Everything was right untill I saw the rendered (NTSC 16:9) and realized that the segments were totally wrong. I remade the edition in another file with the same clips but changing the segments a little bit but the new rendered file looks exactly the same as the first wrong one. What can I do? I need the right render movie by monday 8! Thanks for your support. By the way, I'm using Kubuntu 9.04 and i'm a total newbie.

First of all, even though I hate to say it: but using a program that has not even hit version 1.0 and expecting it to meet your needs while on a deadline is a bad idea.
Secondly, the same thing. After that I have to admit I have no idea how your problem can be solved while meeting your deadline. This may be due to a bug (reading the bug database and see if something similar is reported by someone else can help identify this) Also, while this may be a bit of a long road, but from my (short) experience remaking the whole project from scratch may give different results. What seemed to happen to me is that a certain project would render bad (as in black video, but got sound) one time, and while remaking the whole project anew I would get a different (if still not desirable) result (resizing to 320x480 seemed to happen most of the time) The solution for your deadline would probably be to use a program that is supported, stable and reported to work most of the time. Unfortunately, this means that you may have to reboot to an os created in Redmond, as (which I'm sad to say) video editing under linux is still very poor (which is why I'm very happy with this project and expecting lots from it in the future) |

Hi.
As said in the previous comment, your deadline seems a bit short... However if you want some help we need more infos: Which Kdenlive / MLT / FFmpeg version are you using? What kind of video files are you using in your project (try to type: ffmpeg -i myvideo.mpeg) In what format are you trying to export? Did you use a NTSC wide project profile (Project->Project Settings)? |
