DVD with linear PCM audio...?

Mon Jul 27, 2009 8:26 am
Hi!

I would like to output my video project to a .vob file with the normale mpeg2 video and uncompressed audio. With the ac3 audio (and different bitrates) everything works fine. But what should I do to get PCM working? I'm trying these options:

f=dvd vcodec=mpeg2video acodec=pcm_s16be ar=48000 ac=2 b=5000k maxrate=8000k minrate=0 bufsize=1835008 mux_packet_s=2048 mux_rate=10080000 s=720x576 g=15 me_range=63 trellis=1 profile=dv_pal_wide pass=2

What I get is good video, with a lot of white noise and every two or three seconds some half a second of good audio (with both mplayer and vlc). Quite strange...

Any ideas? Thaks a lot!

Marco
