I have been using Kdenlive for about 2 weeks. I downloaded from the ubuntu 9.04 repository and compiled and rendered a couple of videos. There were a couple of niggles but everything worked except for creating a windows rendered AVI. I found this forum noticed there was a newer version and followed the instructions to update the repositories and now I cannot render any files at all. I tried re-installing the ffmpeg and still no joy.

I am a bit of a pc novice so instructions to sort this need to be simple.
