I have two hard drives on my computer, Dell Dimension 8300. Primary drive with Windows XP, 80 G., and second drive with Ubuntu 9.04, 40 G.
I have Kdenlive installed and am wondering whether I can render my video files on the primary drive on which I have ample space for rendering a 5 to 20 minute video. Did it often in a Windows video editing program. The source video I'm editing is on the primary (larger) drive and Kdenlive is on the smaller (Linux installation) drive. Does Kdenlive render on the larger drive (where the edited video resides) by default? If so, will I experience an equivalent speed and quality of rendering as if the edited video was on the same drive as Kdenlive? Thanks for any feedback on this. |
