Hello there!

I have a problem with my little testvideo. Everything looks fine and works like it should in kdenlive (first picture). But after rendering the video, it doesn't look like the one in kdenlive (second picture).

How can I get the video to look like it should?


Some specs:
Arch Linux, KDE 4.3.1 (KDEmod/chakra), kdenlive 0.7.5.

I rendered it with xvid4 and ogg, but I get always the same result.

Are you changing the output resolution or accepting the project settings resolution?

I (accidentally) used both, but same result. I tried it in Ubuntu and it worked there, so I think, it has something to do with the codecs, maybe?

I don't know, but if you're able to say, which one it can be, maybe I can ask in Arch Linux more specifically for that.

I dunno. Hard for me to say what the problem is. Might be something related to the build.

I built it from source (kdenlive 0.7.6/mlt 0.4.6) and the problem still exists (see screenshot EDIT: well okay, I'm not allowed to upload more screenshots because of this 1MB limit...). So this isn't a packager problem, but a problem something with Arch Linux. The problem happens with the composite effect (and mlt is responsible for that, isn't it?). So is there a way to find out, how I can rid of it?

That's how I built mlt

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-gpl --disable-mmx \
--qimage-libdir=/usr/lib/ --qimage-includedir=/usr/include/qt4 \
--avformat-swscale

and kdenlive

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr -DLIB_INSTALL_DIR=/usr/lib

with make and stuff following.

Arch Linux is not the problem. I develop MLT on it. Can you file a bug please and attach the smallest project file that reproduces the problem (but not the videos). The project file alone will help my try to reproduce it.

I'll file a bug report this week.

I updated to mlt 0.4.7 (git) and kdenlive 0.7.7 (svn) and now it works. :-)
