I have the problem that whenever I try to render to a lossless H.264 profile, the rendering process aborts at the beginning (3-4%) (Everything else works fine). I start from AVCHD 50i video and transcode to DNxHD before editing.

There is Kdenlive 0.76 installed on Ubuntu, but I`m still quite new to Linux in general...

Hmm, works for me. Might be dependent upon your versions of x264 and FFmpeg.
