GoPro 960 profile

Sat Sep 03, 2011 12:36 pm
I can't just rendes GoPro video correctliy....
video is 1280x960 px (original sample from go pro camera - http://www.filedropper.com/gopr0134 )

here is kdenlive profile and video looks like ok - http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/7099/3333244532543654.png
and here is screen from smplayer after rendering - http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/5425/shot0003mb.png - it is in size 1280 x 960 but video is smaller.

I just don't get it right. I tryed even a 1280x720 4:3 and many more profiles (changed aspect ratios and more) but all filed :/

Then where is the problem?

Kdenlive 0.7.8.
Using KDE Development Platform 4.6.2 (4.6.2)

I created this profile:

And I was able to edit without any issue... I modified the VGA profile and only changed the resolution.

I'd try removing all of MLT and Kdenlive in Synaptic then re-install. Might have an older version of MLT still installed that isn't updating. Whenever I get a weird issue like that, it seems to straiten things out.

EDIT:

So now, which Kdenlive / MLT versions do you have?

If you still have the SDL module error on Kdenlive startup, you are probably using MLT > 0.7.2 with Kdenlive 0.8.
Kdenlive 0.8 does not support MLT > 0.7.2, you must use MLT 0.7.2.

Kdenlive 0.8 is not compatible with MLT 0.7.4. We are trying to release Kdenlive 0.8.2 to fix this problem and a lot of others, but we encountered several unexpected issues that we are currently fixing before the release.

What you can do is to try the current development version, which is available on Ubuntu from sunab's experimental repository: https://launchpad.net/~sunab/+archive/kdenlive-svn

To try it:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:sunab/kdenlive-svn

Then update & upgrade

If you later want to go back to the normal version, remove the experimental repository using (you might need to install ppa-purge package before running this):

sudo ppa-purge ppa:sunab/kdenlive-svn
