hello,
i always get this problem (maybe i am doing it wrong)... whenever i render ant graphic done in gimp or inkscape it appears in a horrible resolution. does anyone else get this? i have tried using png's and jpg's at 90dpi and 300dpi with no difference whatsoever. is this normal or am i doing something wrong? cheers |

Dpi doesn't matter, it only applies when printing. What does matter is the size of your ant images. Make sure width and height matches the kdenlive project in pixels.

Normally i work on inkscape in a 720x486 canvas (ntsc). Is that what you mean?

If
* The image you import in kdenlive is 720x486 (or more) * The rendering settings are set appropriately (bitrate: 6000k e.g.) then the quality should be fine. Perhaps you rendered at a low bitrate, like 200k or so. |

hI,
yes, they are >= 720x486, i think it was 4000k... hmmm, i didnt think it had to be that big. that will increase the file size considerably. note: this is a problem with cinelerra as well. now my doubt is, does this happen with other softwares as kino, premiere, openshot? has anybody tested? cheers :) |

Please also read http://kdenlive.org/forum/output-size-not-same-clips
Is your project profile also set to the same resolution, or do you scale the image when rendering? |

No of course not. I am using a panasonic 100b and i am using a dv/dvd ntsc profile.

Could you please post then
* The resolution used for your project profile * The resolution used when rendering * The bitrate when rendering or upload a sample project showing the problem? |
