Hi, I am new to Kdenlive and videoediting, using 0.7.6 and OpenSuSE 11.2. I have edited my clips and rendered a VOB file (PAL 4:3 VOB 2 pass). I want to create a DVD with a menu, containing this VOB file. I started the "DVD Wizard" in Kdenlive, selected the rendered VOB file, created chapters, selected background video, created buttons and finally pressed "Create ISO image".
I then get the output copied below in the Wizard, saying that "DVDAuthor process crashed" - this is during "Creating dvd structure" which gets a red icon. What am I doing wrong? Or how do I fix this? kind regards, Jan version 0.6.14. Hi Janeri,
Not sure how much help this will be as I'm also new to Kdenlive and video editing also. I'm also using OpenSUSE 11.2 and found a program called ManDVD that works really well for me to create a DVD from the rendered VOB file(s) rendered in Kdenlive. Cheers |

Thanks duddsy,
I wil certainly try, as this is the only suggestion I have received so far. Wonder if this is not the same as 2ManDVD that can be found here http://software.opensuse.org/search , which can easily be installed with "1 click" |

I have tried quite a few different approaches now. I have the impression that the failures seems to follow dvdauthor (or my use of it).
So I decided to try something completely different, "Bombono DVD" from http://www.bombono.org/ . It worked beautifully with the vob-file rendered from kdenlive at my first attempt, creating a playable DVD disc with chapters/menus. Thumbs up for Bombono from me! |

I still don't know why DVDauthor consistently crashes when used from Kdenlive DVD Wizard here, but after getting some more experience this is now my only dvdauthor problem. It works well from any other applications I have tested (including "Q DVD-Author")
