I was attempting to render a short video and the engine kept crashing. After reading posts on the forums I thought it was an issue with transitions. So I removed them to no avail.
Then I figured that the title clips could be the issue. I removed them, and my video rendered. I've set up a second test with a short (7 sec) clip. The clip alone renders. A dissolve transition between two instances of the clip renders. Add a title at the beginning... rendering crashes. I've checked an updated any packages dealing with image effects, but that's not helped. Any suggestions? Thanks, J.L. |

Okay, this is odd... But I decided to evade the whole title clips problem by simply creating them in another program and importing the image files into kdenlive.
That worked fine, but as I was looking at the successfully rendered file I noticed that some of the previous attempts had now rendered--I could tell based on file sizes. It seems that even though kdenlive was telling me that the rendering engine had crashed it either continued as a background process or resumed after I restarted kdenlive at a later time. I'll test this some more, to see if I can understand what's happening. -J.L. |
