I just created a video, now I want to render it and it won't render, to any format. I don't even know what kind of file I should render it to, even if I could, so thats one thing I could use some help with. The other, is getting it to render to any file format. I just downloaded the latest version of kdenlive, Im running a 32 bit dual core processing Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala system/OS. Everything with kdenlive is stable, except when I attempt to render the rendering crashes immediately and says the following:

Rendering of /home/tshipp/Videos/underthecherrytree.m2t crashed

Some more info: The files I am editing were converted from an AVCHD camcorder to Mpeg4 format ussing ffmpeg. I uploaded them to kdenlive, edited the clips, creating a 7 and one half minute long movie that now crashes when I attempt to render.

I just ran a testrender using two of these same clips, plus a transition and the clip was 30 seconds. It renders fine.
How can I get kdenlive to render the larger clip?

This is probably related to a memleak in mlt recently fixed:

It is fixed in the version 0.5.4 of MLT.
MLT is a framework used by Kdenlive.
If you are novice like me you have to wait until a new version is released.
Otherwise it could be there is a solution by compiling your own version.

I have post a comment about a workaround on your other thread, ship:
