Nice (= low priority) rendering?

Fri May 14, 2010 2:10 pm
Hi,

in general, I like to run processes like rendering with "nice -10" so that I can still go on working as usual. So I'm missing something like applying a nice level in the rendering window in kdenlive. It would be a "nice" ;-) feature and probably very easy to implement, I think. My workaround is to create a script, close kdenlive, and start the script with "nice -10".

What do you think?

Cheers

Yes would be nice enhancement.
Could you please open a bug report for this so it's easier to keep track.

Er, a bug report? But a feature request is not a bug. If I was a developer, I wouldn't like such misuse of the bug tracker by little chamitos. Is that really the place where the kdenlive team wants the feature requests to be?

Yes, the tracker has a severity option you should set to "feature."
