Rendering crashes

Wed Jul 21, 2010 1:54 pm
Hi I updated my kdenlive to 0.771 and MLT 0.56. on Ubuntu 9.10
Now I have the problem that kdenlive crashes with an error message in the rendering window showing me a trace and problems with MP3.

I tried with converted WAV, no audio option and removed the audio clips, the problem persists: crash at 16% :(

Can anybody help me please? Im not very familar with video for linux so would be nice if you tell me how to collect more informations for diagnostic

As recommend I try to playback my file with ffplay and I noted a small hint at the end:

This is the same line I get 4times when I used kdenlive with an audio track.
Now kden just says rendering cashed :(

So is my FFMPEG corrupted?

Which format and profile are you rendering to?

Kdenlive and MLT has nothing to do with gstreamer. However, installing/upgrading these may be installing different versions of ffmpeg libs (or other libs but most likely ffmpeg). This should not occur if you are using only Ubuntu repositories, but using some ppa to get gstreamer or kdenlive may cause an issue.

Hi I use a own profile to fit the dimensions of my recordings.

Well the fact is, that if I have the PPA melt or (another **** lib) my whole GSTREAMER framework is down witha invalid registry.

Thats bad, I like KDENLIVE realy but this installation procedure is hell (even if I understand the circumstances with multimedia,... in a open OS)

I solved the problem using the newest Ubuntu 10.4 and the corresponding contributed KDENLIVE :)

Hi

I have also a problem like this, the render process crashes with following error:

Rendern von /home/.....mpg abgestürzt
[mp3 @ 0xb223dd00]mdb:329, lastbuf:0 skipping granule 0
Last message repeated 1 times
[mp3 @ 0xb223dd00]mdb:329, lastbuf:0 skipping granule 1

I have tried different render profile but each one crashes.

Have also tried to render without any mp3 track, no success.

Try to create a project as simple as possible which leads to the crash.
Does this for example also happen if you only use color clips?
