Place a short dnxhd file on timeline and try to render to dnxhd, it immediately crashes with message:
Failed to load "/tmp/kde-drosky121/kdenliveJ11126.mlt" So, I had it generate a script and then ran the script to see if there was any additional information. Not much additional, but here is the output: drosky121@laptop2:~/kdenlive/scripts> ./script001.sh //STARTING RENDERING: false , false , "/usr/bin/melt" , "atsc_1080p_2997" , "avformat" , "-" , "/home/drosky121/kdenlive/scripts/script001.sh.mlt" , "/home/drosky121/kdenlive/untitled.mov" , () , ("s=1920x1080", "aspect=@16/9", "b=220000k", "vcodec=dnxhd", "acodec=libmp3lame", "threads=1", "real_time=-1") , -1 , -1 Started render process: "/usr/bin/melt" "/home/drosky121/kdenlive/scripts/script001.sh.mlt -profile atsc_1080p_2997 -consumer avformat:/home/drosky121/kdenlive/untitled.mov progress=1 s=1920x1080 aspect=@16/9 b=220000k vcodec=dnxhd acodec=libmp3lame threads=1 real_time=-1" "Rendering of /home/drosky121/kdenlive/untitled.mov aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted." Any ideas? |

There is a known crash with MLT 0.7.6 on OpenSuse. See a workaround in our bugtracker:
http://kdenlive.org/mantis/view.php?id=2493 The crash is now solved in the just released MLT 0.7.8 regards |

Yah, I had already removed libmltjackrack, and I still get crashes both at the beginning and end of renderings depending on the source files If the source file is an cannon MTS file strait from the camcorder, it renders and then crashes. If the source file is a dnxhd video + pcm audio (in a .mov container), the render crashes before starting, but everything works fine in the editor.
This isn't the only issue, all of the codecs that render sound to pcm_s16le are broken as well, even though I can use the ffmpeg command line to convert MTS+AC3 files to dnxhd+pcm_s16le. MLT seems to think the pcm_s16le codec is missing. Things seem pretty broken for me on this new system with Opensuse 12.1, I'm not sure why, maybe I have some other problem in my system. It's really frustrating, I've never had so much trouble with kdenlive/MLT/FFMpeg before. If I can't solve it I'll either have to try it on Ubuntu or use Cinelerra for this project, neither of which are pleasant alternatives at the moment. |
