I? using
version 0.7.7.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS - Lucid Lynx. I composed a small project with slides. In the project monitor it runs as desired. When I try to render I choose DVD PAL 4:3 VOB deselected audio as there is none select full project and activate render to file. The programm accepts these settings and starts rendering. The result is a VOB-file that shows the text: INVALID for the full duration. I think I could use some help. Thank you all in advance, Greetings, René. |

Hi René,
did you try to find the reason for this? I mean, does it render correctly if you render with sound enabled, a part of the project, to a different format (MPEG2, MPEG4,...)? |

Hi all25fps,
Your remark on the sound triggered me to disable the sound in every timeline. Now the slideshow runs. One thing is still very remarkble in the workflow. My slides are alle in one directory. Of course, then that is my project. As it is they occupy 1/3rd, 2/3rd and the full area te be displayd. Adter importing these slides, each slide appears to contain all 3 of them ???!!! In order to achieve what I wanted I had to load 1 clip into the timeline, cut it into pieces and then I had my original 3 slides again. Strange to me. So I opened the .kdenlive file in a ascii-tekst editor ( gedit ) and found: ----- ----- The strange thing is: resource="/home/rene/IVN/Multimedia/links/.all.jpg" So if I add one slide to the project it contains: all.jpg ? So if I have a slideshow of a 100 ore more slides they are adde as one ? So I would have to cut them out all seperately ? What am I doing wrong this time. Greetings, René. |

Not sure I understand. A slideshow clip plays includes every photo in a folder. If you do not want that, add each photo individually as a clip to the project and then to the timeline.

Hi Dan,
The strange thing is that if I add an indivual photo as a slideshow clip, the clip contains all photo's of that kind ( e.g. jpg ) as one clip. The source of the project states: resource="/home/rene/IVN/Multimedia/links/.all.jpg" I would have expected something like resource="/home/rene/IVN/Multimedia/links/my_picture.jpg After some fiddling around I now understand what "Add slideshow clip" means. It means you add an already made slideshow/ slideshow of the slides in that aprticulary folder. What I want is just to add a clip ( e.g. a picture, wich by itself is a clip ). That is the part I did not understand before. Thank you for your comment as it triggered me to search further. Hopefully once is will also be possible to choose Dutch for the user language. Thanks again. Greetings, René. |
