How to Render

Sat Mar 26, 2011 12:29 am
I can not figure out how to render I have the video done and i am ready to finalize it how would one go about doing this. I know this is a stupid question and the issue is probably a lot simpler than what I am trying to do. But when i go to render it it just makes a video file that has no length and really is not anything and it only takes a couple seconds to render. So what am i doing wrong?

Check your Melt path in Settings > Configure Kdenlive > Environment. Does melt exist in that location? If so, open a terminal window and enter 'melt -query consumers'. Do you see "avformat" in the output? If so, then your mlt package might be incompatible with your ffmpeg libavformat and libavcodec packages. If you got this far, see if a very simple project with a single clip on the timeline renders. If so, then there might be a problem in your project. If no, then it most surely is a bad installation of Kdenlive, mlt, and ffmpeg libs.
