No actual video is seen after rendering. Only effects and audio are on the rendered video.

Newbie here :)

I've tried to synchcronize a video from a live show with the studio version of a song.
I've put in a few effects (dust, scratchlines, Oldfilm). Preview is ok.

After rendering the only thing i can see on the screen are the effects.
Audio is ok too, but the original video isn't anywhere to be seen.

I've tried different rendering formats (avi, xvid. vob) but no luck.
I've also tried to render only one effect at a time but again the same problem exists.
Only the effect and the audio is on the rendered video.

Can anyone help me out here?
Although i'm new to Kdenlive i really love what you can do with it.

Thanx!!!

Sorry, never heard this one before. If you can see it, it should render fine. I wonder if you have some incompatible versions of library packages that it needs.

I have tried it with the latest version of Kdenlive, too. Same output.

Don't know if i have described exactly what the problem is...
I can see the effects but just over a black background instead of the video.
And I can hear the audio of the video!

Could you tell me what exactly i should look for and what you mean with: "some incompatible versions of library packages that it needs." ??

Or should i recreate a very small video and send it via email to you together with the project so you can see exactly what i mean?

I know what you mean, but I have never heard anyone else report that problem and have never experienced it myself. I have no idea what is wrong. Can you reproduce the problem when applying effects to only a single color clip on the timeline?

I'm sorry but the problem may not be the effects after all. I did what you said and had the same result.
I must be doing something wrong cause I've tried to render the same video with no effect and again I had only a black screen but still could hear the sound!
