Hi,

my video is full of video-in-video footage using the composite transition. In preview it works fine, but when rendering to DVD the composite footage either

- does not appear
- goes away far too quickly
- is gigantic

can anyone help me? I need to deliver the content quickly...

Which project profile are you using? There may be a conversion issue if you are working on am HD project and rendering to a DVD size.

Also, which Kdenlive version? You could try to render to another format, then convert to dvd vob using ffmpeg (sample command line for PAL DVD):

ffmpeg -i rendered.mpg -f dvd -vcodec mpeg2video -acodec ac3 -b 5000k -maxrate 8000k -minrate 0 -bufsize 1835008 -packetsize 2048 -muxrate 10080000 -ab 192k -ar 48000 -s 720x576 -g 15 -me_range 63 -trellis final.vob

Hi,

i'm using version 0.8

I found a workaround like you said by rendering to mpg. That was the only format I found that included the composites, however the program crashed with the region transition. So I had to replace them. All went wel, I converted them using ffmpeg, but then, there were still some problems using the speed effect.

I'll try using a different project profile like you suggested in order to get that last obstacle fixed.

I hope this gets fixed in the next released...

thanks
