How do you remove spliced footage?

Tue Jul 12, 2011 6:09 pm
Sorry if this sounds dumb, but I could not find an answer. I'm new to kdenlive, but I have used other non-linear editors, mainly to edit existing footage.

I can splice a video with the scissors, but what do I do with the parts I just cut off? I would like to delete them, but there is no delete option (that I can find). I managed to move them to track 3, set them to 0:00 duration, delete the track - at leat in one case I ended with 45 minutes black video at the end of the file (the video said and played 2:15, but there was only 1:30 video to look at....

I read the help but I find no answer...

regards,

Thierry

So easy! Thanks! Somehow I am used to using the mouse, so not seeing a "delete" option I did not try the keyboard...
