I am not able to select the settings H.264 to render my video.
I have installed Kdenlive from the Sunab repositories. I use Ubuntu 11.04 and Kdenlive 0.8. What do I have to do extra to get these settings? |

Does this help?, could be same reason, maybe not. perhaps you already searched first before asking. ;-)

Yes I searched before and installed libs but I saw no change in Kdenlive. I just found the link you posted here and I did this: Quit Kdenlive and delete kdenliverc in ~/.kde/share/config and restart Kdenlive. Now I see the settings! But I have installed and uninstalled many things, so I do not know anymore which lib is the correct to install ... You have to install at least: Synaptic: libavcodec-extra-52 |

You could rerun the config wizard in kdenlives 'Settings' menu to see if anything is missing.
From memory libavformat, libavcodec, libswscale, libavdevice, not sure how many kdenlive needs but it's a start. Good to hear your h264 problem is solved. |

The solution is:
After installation of Kdenlive 8.0 you have to install with Synaptic: libavcodec-extra-52 A few libraries will be deinstalled and dependencies will be installed. Then quit Kdenlive and delete kdenliverc in ~/.kde/share/config and restart Kdenlive. Now you must see all the settings. |
