Sorry, I know that there is already a ton of threads on this but none of them have an answer.
i am using raw dv files and trying to sync audio onto them, and every time i render the audio sync is off, i had to install unstripped codec to render in all the available preset formats so i thought that was the issue but after i removed the unstripped codecs and installed the original the same problem. i tried to render as a raw dv and the sync issue was still there.
i thought a transcode on the dv files might help i transcoded to avi and tried to render it and the sync issue is still there, can someone tell me how to fix this.

Describe the sync problem. Does it start out good and gradually get worse and really only obvious after a fair amount of time like 15 minutes? Is it a constant offset or vary?

The phrase "trying to sync audio onto them" is rather odd. Are you just saying you are using raw dv as source files and rendering to raw dv and trying to retain/keep sync? Or are you trying to use a separate audio file and match it with some video?

Sorry, It is off sync about half a second at the start and a second by the end 3-4 minute videos.
and the audio quality from the camera is horrible so i record audio separately and i'm trying to sync the audio i recorded separately with the video. Ideally i would like to render the project as a Xvid of mpg.
I tried transcoding the files to lossless mkv and that seemed to help a little better but it is still off after a render but it is consistent so i can just shift the audio so it is off in the project but renders fine. let me know if it still isnt clear.

what format is the audio in? I always get sync issues when I use mp3, so have to convert files to wav before I use them in kdenlive
