Wrong profile...

Sat Jan 12, 2013 1:13 am
Hey, i messed up a mayor issue... i used a profile of 720 hd 30 fps when it should be 29,97.... i could render it to a mp4 file and upload it to a youtube, though today i had to project it in stage and neither windows or linux respected the flow of the video... then it was that i understood my mistake. The thing is now i can't export the video... and i would like to have a hint on which would be the smartest way to proceed.
This is the output it gives me exporting to .vob (i think of this format being very versatile... i am so in a hurry that quality doesn't matter that much...)

Rendering of /home/felipe/Videos/limo voces.vob crashed

This reminds me of an issue I had in the past. From my recollection you get this from using the DVD group in the render. - Was this where you were rendering from?
Try the file rendering group instead. Render to mpeg2. You can then import these files into DVD authoring software.

Hi

Can't you just change the project profile?

Open your project and than go to Project/Project Settings and change the profile to what you need. Than render again.

Hi!

I did so, but most of the clips lost their initial frames... i made a "fast" re-edit but still, the problem persists...

It throws me this:

Rendering of /home/felipe/Videos/limo voces.vob aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted.

What kdenlive version are you on?

Did you try my suggestion?

I remember the "resulting video will probably be corrupted." error too.

There are two threads on "resulting video will probably be corrupted." you could find by search. They might help

Whoops. Looking back at my notes I see that I prefer DVD Rendering rather than file rendering for DVD production. Your milage may vary ! But anyway it could be worth a shot to try profiles from both the DVD rendering and File rendering group to see if this makes any difference.

I would update to at least 0.9.2 if you are not there already and then see if you still have this issue.

Hey... well, i tried both. I didn't accomplish to render a video without speed problems. Though my first render i had uploaded it to youtube, so my workaround was to download it and import it to kdenlive. That version y could render and then play it in windows... quality was lost, so thats a shame... but it's done. On the future ill be more carefull with the profile. Thanks!
