Hi all,
this might be a bit of a newbie question, but I have been trying to build demonstration videos from screncams recorded with Desktop Recorder (on Ubuntu 11.04) - I have been recording the original footage at full screen (1600 x 900 at 15 fps) and have a custom profile which matches the recording size and framerate The output allways appears blurry. I followed Jean-Micheal's tutorials on Vimeo to the letter (other than the sound parts as I will be recording the soundtrack separately) yet, the output is always blurred. In the project monitor, it's sharp, the original .ogv recordings are sharp - I just cant get the output sharp. Original screen cam - http://alarmour.host56.com/test3-1.ogv Resultant test video - http://alarmour.host56.com/VimeoTest1.mp4 Please help - I have a demo next week and this video is the backup plan (in case my live demo fails) - I need to get to the bottom of this rendering problem asap. I am using: gtk-recordMyDesktop 0.3.8 Kdenlive Version 0.7.8 Ubuntu 11.04 Natty (2.6-38.13-generic-pae kernel) |

never mind - fixed it myself. I hadn't realised how out of date the version of Kdenlive was in the Canonical repository. I installed the current release (Version 0.8.2.1) and tried rendering the same projects - sharp now... it seems like the old version was dropping the output video down to 320x200 despite me specifying 1600x900. The new version doesn't seem to have the same problem.
