I was unable to register at the bugtracker (still haven't received no e-mail, and there doesn't seem to be any way to post to there without it), so posting this here.
Clicking render crashes instantly on Ubuntu 12.04. This goes for both 0.8.2.1 and 0.8.3. Doesn't matter if there is a project open or not. My apologies for the bump, but after trying both the latest stable as well as a series of SVN builds the problem persists. From what I've been able to figure out with GDB this has possibly got something to do with the QT accessibility framework. *Everything* works flawlessly, except for trying to open the "Render" dialog which leads to the crash.
So, currently my only shot at actually rendering a project is shoving it all on a thumbdrive and then attempting to open and render it on another box. Not too exciting. Any ideas are welcome. I just want Kdenlive working again :( Thanks, Chris |

I have same problem but only for my last project (previous one from august is ok).
error message : "Segmentation Fault (core dumped)". How can I investigate the problem ? ******problem partially solved******** I opened the render window from an empty project and then open my project file.I got a message : "No matching profile". selecting a custom profile seem to work then... but kdenlive should not crash if there is no matching profile ;-) **************************************** regards Olivier |

ilkm and supercow - what vers of kdenlive are you running? 0.9.3 has lots of bug fixes. If you try that vers and still have a prob then start a bug report at mantis
