Even I faced this issue with KDENLIVE 0.9 and Linux Mint Maya 64 bit Cinnamon edition. However the video was proper. Not sure why did rendering crashed.

I want to ask you something: What do you think is output file ok or still lacks something

Same problem for me, except since I upgrade to 0.9 the quality of rendering has dropped alot. Soo many bigs in this version. I'm probably going to have to ditch Kdenlive. The really need to release a stable version of this software.

Hi Levan7,
The output seems to be good, no lack of quality. (H.264 12k, 384kbps audio). One more thing, this happened to me only once. I rendered two more videos after the crash. It went on fine. |

Ok but it happens to me everytime i render

Hey, unfortunately rendering crashed for one more video. Again no loss of quality and video is fine

I'm also getting crashes at the end of the rendering process each time I try. But the video is displayed fine by my movie player. Is it really crashing?
These are from two videos I rendered today (Ubuntu 12.04, MLT 0.7.8, Kdenlive 0.9 Sunab, ffmpeg 0.8.1-4:0.8.1-0ubuntu1): Rendering of /home/funpro/Desktop/edu/fun programming/result/Fun programming 109.webm crashed [matroska, webm @ 0x93054e0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x947e120] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x93ba760] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x94787c0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x9611220] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x97c3f20] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0e04600] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0a36b60] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0cbbda0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0e7df40] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb062aee0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0da5ba0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate Rendering of /home/funpro/Desktop/edu/fun programming/result/Fun programming 110.webm crashed [wav @ 0x8dc3580] max_analyze_duration reached [wav @ 0x8e43ae0] max_analyze_duration reached [wav @ 0x8dff9e0] max_analyze_duration reached [wav @ 0x8e86a20] max_analyze_duration reached [matroska, webm @ 0x8e1b040] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x8ea1700] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x8fb1680] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x8e202a0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x90e3560] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0x91953e0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0a046c0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0636780] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0ae7260] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [wav @ 0xb0a852e0] max_analyze_duration reached [wav @ 0xacfa9440] max_analyze_duration reached [wav @ 0xa6266a20] max_analyze_duration reached [wav @ 0xb09cd700] max_analyze_duration reached [matroska, webm @ 0xb05eb2c0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb07ec760] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [matroska, webm @ 0xb0a4c5a0] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate |

Me Too.
Upraded to 12.04 recently. After this upgrade I was left with Kdenlive 0.8.2.1 using KDE development platform 4.8.2 and MLT ver 0.7.7. With this setup I could not render Mpeg-4, Xvid4 , H.264 or flash as they reported unsupported video codec. I fixed this by sudo apt-get install libavcodec-extra-53 but then I noted unsupported audio codec: pcm_s16le But also noted that the Kdenlive web site was recomending Kdenlive 0.9 and MLT 0.7.8 from sunab repository Which I have now installed. And that brings me to where I am now where I am having exactly the same issues as hamoid and Levan7 [I think Sylvere's issue was a different one]. My videos also appear to be fine too. I also wonder if the MLT is reporting a false abort and error. //STARTING RENDERING: false , false , "/usr/bin/melt" , "dv_pal_wide" , "avformat" , "-" , "/home/ttguy/Videos/scripts/test_mpg_render.sh.mlt" , "/home/ttguy/Videos/home_movies_vol23a-test.mpg" , () , ("f=mpeg", "acodec=mp2", "ab=384k", "ar=48000", "vcodec=mpeg2video", "minrate=0", "vb=12000k", "bf=2", "b_strategy=1", "trellis=1", "aspect=@16/9", "threads=1", "real_time=-1") , -1 , -1 Started render process: "/usr/bin/melt" "/home/ttguy/Videos/scripts/test_mpg_render.sh.mlt -profile dv_pal_wide -consumer avformat:/home/ttguy/Videos/home_movies_vol23a-test.mpg progress=1 f=mpeg acodec=mp2 ab=384k ar=48000 vcodec=mpeg2video minrate=0 vb=12000k bf=2 b_strategy=1 trellis=1 aspect=@16/9 threads=1 real_time=-1" "Rendering of /home/ttguy/Videos/home_movies_vol23a-test.mpg aborted, resulting video will probably be corrupted." |

So based on inspiration from another thread I tried to run the melt call from the above post in the terminal.
/usr/bin/melt /home/ttguy/Videos/scripts/test_mpg_render.sh.mlt -profile dv_pal_wide -consumer avformat:/home/ttguy/Videos/home_movies_vol23a-test.mpg progress=1 f=mpeg acodec=mp2 ab=384k ar=48000 vcodec=mpeg2video minrate=0 vb=12000k bf=2 b_strategy=1 trellis=1 aspect=@16/9 threads=1 real_time=-1 And it renders the video and eventually returns [dv @ 0xb5b0c320] Estimating duration from bitrate, this may be inaccurate [mpeg @ 0xb680adc0] VBV buffer size not set, muxing may fail Current Frame: 1011, percentage: 99 Segmentation fault (core dumped) So it appears a real error reported by melt |
