So basically when I try to render the Youtube option or just generally a mpeg4 file it plays just half the screen? Its so frustrating because when I then try a m2t file it zooms out. I dont know much about video files so this might be a stupid mistake. I make all my videos for youtube so I just want a suitable render option that works! PLEASE HELP

It would making helping you easier or possible at all if you would give us necessary information: what are your project settings and what kind of clips (video footage) are you using?

Does the kdenlive preview work correctly when you are playing the timeline clips?

Also, which operation system or distribution version are you using? Which version of kdenlive and mlt?

I am using ubuntu 12.10, I am not sure what version of kdenlive I am using. I have tryed to update but I dont know how to. They are clips from iphone 4.The preview works fine as well.

What Project Profile are you using for your iPhone video? When you say it plays just half the screen is that half width? Half height? What are you using to play back the mpeg4 and does the preview look correct in kdenlive?

Check the about screen under help for kdenlive version information.

I don't know what an ifone video is, so please enlight us about the technical details as these are important. Right click on one of your clips in the project view and get the clip information. What format and what resolution?

Does the resolution of your clips match the one of your project?

Again, what happens in preview?
