Hi,

I am new to kdenlive and video editing in general.

I am recording video with a Samsung Galaxy S3 and have chosen the option of resolution= 720 x 480 under settings for recording, in the camera set-up on the phone. When I view the video on the phone with MX Player Pro, and look at the video properties is shows as

Media resolution 720 x 480
Stream #1
Video
Codec H.264 / AVC / MPEG-4 AVC / MPEG-4 part 10
resolution 720 x 480
frame rate 30
bit rate 3.4 Mbits/sec
Language English

Stream #2
Audio
Codec AAC
Sample rate 48000 Hz
Channels Stereo
Bit rate 123.8 kbits/sec ( 128kbps ?)
Language English

This is confirmed by VLC player.

How do I set
    project settings, and
    render settings
so that I can produce exactly the same video format as went in ( ie spec used by Samsung S3 ) ?

Currently rendered video has an additional and undesirable black border produced around it.
Because of this black border, when I overlay text, and render output some of the text spills onto the black border.
Also very undesirable.

I have tried to configure the project settings though there appears to be no option for the samsung h264 meg4 part 10 with res 720 x 480
Is this the best forum for kdenlive questions ?

Thank you

:)

Sorry, but how is it related to the original question? Free non-pro version of MX Player also supports the 720 x 480 resolution.
