Hello,
is there a way how to pass "-profile:v main -level 4.0" in the rendering profile? The kdenlive web just reads something about "the options are those of ffmpeg".
  • When I use profile=main, kdenlive complaints and suggests that I should use mlt_profile instead.
  • When I use level=4.0, video stream does not encode.
After lot of trial & error with syntax, I was able to workaround that by manually typing in bunch of the x264 options (in ffmpeg equivalent), which I got as a reference from mediainfo output on video encoded on CLI by ffmpeg directly. This is however unneccessarily complicated.
Later on, I found that mlt presets use "vprofile" as an equivalent to ffmpeg -profile:v - hence the bigger part is solved ;-)

However, I still do not know how to easily force kdenlive to encode e.g. to H.264 profile Main, Level 3.1

Any ideas?

i guess '-level:v 4.0' would correspond to 'vlevel=40'.
