FFV1 rendering broken (Ubuntu14.04)

Sun May 10, 2015 8:41 pm
Rendering using the "Lossless FFV1 + FLAC" profile causes it to render for about a second before saying it's finished. The resulting MKV is corrupt and only a few kilobytes big. Rendering using the "Lossless HuffYUV + FLAC" profile works fine.

This happens on both of my two desktops, one running regular Ubuntu 14.04 and the other running Xubuntu 14.04. They are both running Kdenlive version 0.9.10 (recommended) from the sunab repository.

This happened maybe 6 months ago when I was using the older version of Kdenlive from the Ubuntu software center. Updating to the recommended version using the sunab repository fixed it... for a few months. Now it's happening again with the recommended version.

Any ideas to try to fix this, and any ideas to prevent it from happening again would be much appreciated. Thank you.

(I know this is a similar problem to other posts, but I've read them and found no solutions to my problem)

Here is the terminal output from the Ubuntu machine:
Code: Select all
XXXXXX@XXXXXX-desktop:~$ kdenlive

Object::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::UPower::DeviceRemoved(QDBusObjectPath)

Rendering of  "/home/XXXXXX/kdenlive/ffv1Test02.mkv"  finished

And here is the terminal output from the Xubuntu machine (if that's useful at all):
Code: Select all

Rendering of  "/home/xxxxxx/kdenlive/testFFV1_01.mkv"  finished

(I'm sorry; I've been a Linux noob for years now, so I don't know if those errors before the rendering starts are related or not)
