I want to use Kdenlive to edit Prores422 files and render in Prores422. Althoh I am a complete novice, Kdenlive works fine in Ubuntu for pulling in some trial Prores422(HQ) clips and editing - this is the extent of my use and knowledge with an editor.
I have downloaded(and extracted) a static ffmpeg file from http://johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ and pointed to it by replacing "/usr/bin/avconv" in Settings>Config Kdenlive>Environment<"MLT environment tab" > FFmpeg entry box with the path to my extracted ffmpeg file. It was suggested that this might do the trick - but doesn't. So how can I as simply as possible, step by step please, modify Kdenline to export ProRes? mark bower |

Based on no responses to this query for a reasonable time, I will not be returning. Should the administrator observed this thread, I would encourage deleting it since it made no progress.
