Can't Downscale Rendering

Sat Dec 12, 2015 6:13 am
A few days ago, I upgraded to Lubuntu 15.10 ... Which brought with it an unexpected upgrade to kdenlive 15.08.1

Since that time, I have been unable to render a project in any resolution other than 1080P.

The format does not matter. mpg, mp4, flv, ogv, avi, wmv and any others appear to render to a usable video only if I allow the system to use the default of 1080P.

If I try to downscale to 720P or any other resolution ... The attempted rendering immediately stops and I get a notation that says - - - Rendering of "Whatever Project" finished in 00:00:00

Restricted extras appear to be properly installed and I do not appear to be missing any codecs or other files. So I'm at a loss for what might be happening.

And this has nothing to do with the problem might be caused by having a title banner at the beginning of the project.

Help would be sincerely appreciated.

We might get some diagnostic info from running the rendering in a terminal.

See https://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manua ... e_Terminal

I think I remember having this issue. It is now fixed but as far as I can tell there hasn't been a release with the fix yet.

A workaround is to change the project from 1080p to 720p (save it first and save it to another file after)
