render out in mp4 (fast):
play with vlc like as video is hight speed..this is strange.. or problem from mlt or ffmpeg?
play with ffplay like as video is hight speed..this is strange.. or problem from mlt or ffmpeg?

instead kdenlive old version 0.9.8 ---update>>> 0.9.10:
render out mp4 high: result perfect speed is normal.

kdenlive 15.12 is instable than 0.9.8 ---update>>> 0.9.10:..for moment..

my jobs use kdenlive 0.9.8 ---update>>> 0.9.10: and not kdenlive 15.12... i will wait to STABLE of 15.12..

i do test for 15.12 for my jobs have many issue.. so i'm stop here..

i hope kdenlive will be stable next version..thank you

hello

few minutes ago i tested to SHOTCUT (mlt) also same olther topic ( i did created topic), so i can repeat here little report:
shotcut is worked perfect to render out mp4, not high speed but speed is normal as perfect.
so shotcut used with ffmpeg old version 2.7.x and not ffmpeg 2.8.x, shotcut is latest version.

see the box of shotcut, there are ffmpeg, ffplay, ffprobe, melt, qmelt

Who knows how long it might be before this issue is looked at. :'(
As a work-around - have you tried using ffmpeg to transcode your source video to a different format?

I note that you have 0.9.10 of kdenlive. Have you tried the latest version of kdenlive? Developers do not except bug reports for old versions of kdenlive.

i did tried convert ffmpeg:
ffmpeg -i XXX.MXF -c copy YYY.MXF
result:
kdenlive 15.12.1 with ffmpeg 2.8.x, video play like as high-speed
kdenlive 0.9.10 with ffmpeg 2.8.x, video play like as high-speed
kdenlive 0.9.10 with ffmpeg 2.7.x, video play like as normal-speed

shotcut 15.12.3 with ffmpeg 2.7.x, video play like as normal-speed
shotcut 16.01.01 with 2.7.x, video play like as normal-speed

blender 2.76 ,video play like as normal-speed (i dont know what is version of ffmpeg..)

So you notice that your results strongly indicate a problem with ffmpeg 2.8.x? Why don't you get the recent ffmpeg sources from the ffmpeg git repo and compile them, then run your video files through them, seeing whether the problem persists? If not, bingo, use ffmpeg as suggested above to transcode, then edit and render in Kdenlive using the transcodes files. Otherwise, please inform the ffmpeg developers of this issue. This doesn't appear to be an Kdenlive issue, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Kdenlive relies on ffmpeg through MLT for processing video files. Of course, you are free to bark up the Kdenlive tree, but don't be surprised if you don't get any feedback.

Ffmpeg 3.0 is out. Check to see if ffmpeg 3.0 solves your MXF issues. You'll need to compile ffmpeg yourself, as I haven't yet seen it available in Ubuntu repositories, only 2.8.x which caused you the MXF regression.

I had to change the arguments to ffmpeg's configure in order to get it working ($INSTALL_PREFIX should be set according to the wiki documentation page for compiling Kdenlive on KDE Frameworks 5):
Code: Select all
./configure --prefix=$INSTALL_PREFIX --progs-suffix=mlt --build-suffix=mlt --enable-gpl --enable-nonfree --enable-shared --enable-libmp3lame --enable-libfaac --enable-libvorbis --enable-pthreads --enable-libxvid --enable-libgsm --enable-libx264 --enable-libtheora --enable-libdc1394 --disable-stripping --enable-avfilter --enable-libschroedinger --enable-libopencore-amrnb --enable-libopencore-amrwb --enable-version3 --enable-libvpx

Then install this locally and make sure that both Kdenlive and MLT use this local ffmpeg instance. You will need to compile both Kdenlive as well as MLT from sources. But this is a small price to pay.

I'm using Kubuntu, so I can't help. I left SuSE long ago when their hardware support got incredible worse, yet their ego was big.
