After I upgraded to Ubuntu 16.04, the audio on new projects I have created falls out of sync after about 35 seconds. I have tried using other clips and formats, but the problem persists. When I render projects created before the upgrade, it works fine. I believe Kdenlive and dependencies are updated to the latest versions (15.12.3). Any ideas? Thanks!!!

ffmpeg problem? Ubuntu still ships with old ffmpeg 2.8.6, when 3.0.0 is recent. I don't have a problem on Kubuntu 16.04 but I'm also using self-compiled Kdenlive, MLT, ffmpeg due to my really bad experience with the distro packagers' work.

I tried compiling and upgrading ffmpeg to 3.0, as suggested, and got the same result. I even tried installing Kdenlive 16.04, but that version would only render audio with no video. Listening carefully to the rendered result, I noticed that the audio is rendering at a slightly faster rate than the video, which then becomes noticeable after 30 seconds or so. Has anyone experienced this? I checked for solutions online and found a suggestion to split the audio into a separate track, but this made no difference. I have music and voiceovers that are already in a separate track. Any ideas? Thank you all in advance for your help.

I have discovered that the solution to this problem is to upgrade to Kdenlive 16.04 from the master PPA after completely removing all Kdenlive, MLT, ffmpeg and frei0r files. However, so far I have found that only Huffyuv renders correctly. Others will render only audio, only video or a file with only a black screen. I will do some testing to see which profiles are affected and start a new post to see if others are having the same problem. This is a great forum and I'm happy to be a part of it.
