this question might have asked a thousand times but like the rendering options do change etc.... here it comes again:
for editing video, which lossless format do you recommend? I go from a XAVC S format (recorded with a sony a7s) and have a huge project, so i want to edit some scenes and render them lossless, to later put them together.. I have the feeling i always loose quality in that process.. before matroshka codec was always recommended as a good editing lossless format, but it s not available in the render options in kdenlive anymore.. there is just h264 lossless, FFV1 and HuffYUV.. how about image sequence, could that also be lossless in TIFF? any ideas? thank you so much!! |

ah just seeing HuffYUV is basically the matroska codec... it seems that the files dont get as huge as i expected, so hopefully the presets are really (almost) lossless....
