Hello,
with the latest Kdenlive I brought in a mkv file and exported a tiff sequence. But I can't seem to figure out how to confirm what the colour space of the files coming in and going out are let alone how to control them.

I found that the Properties tab is different from the Clip Properties tab which shows the info.
So I know for sure that the mkv file is being recognized as the proper rec709 but I haven't figured out how to control what the frame sequence colour space is being output as.

Kdenlive does not have color management. But, the basic rule in image editing is that if the color space has not been explicitly defined, then sRGB applies. The color spaces rec709 and sRGB are approximately congruent. In case of doubt, only a direct comparison (within a calibrated image viewer) will help.

Hmmm this gets scary as one has to hope Kdenlive is bringing in, veiwing and exporting in the correct color space.
It would be great if it was similar to the Foundry's Nuke. Where you can let it guess or you explicitly set it at any point. Srgb is close but there is a gama shift.

A good example is when exporting to dpx (if it didn't crash) would be to maintain rec 709 color space for output.
Right now I assume it would put it into srgb which no one does.
