Hello,
The AVStream.codec is just a (in)(famous) warning, but shouldn't be the cause of a crash. The faulty section is indeed the MLT 'plusgpl' module, containing following effects: burn, lumaliftgaingamma, rotoscoping, telecine. If you use one of these effects... try to go without it for the moment ![]() And let us know about the filter to debug! Vincent. |

Just made a tweak.
I downloaded Shotcut as portable zip: https://github.com/mltframework/shotcut ... 180814.zip Then I copy following files from Shoutcut lib/mlt to Kedenlive lib/mlt: - libmltopengl.dll -> missing in Kdenlive -> now playing is much smoother with staggered videos and effects. Maybe it helps to avoid libmltplusgpl.dll crash. - libmltsox.dll -> missing in Kdenlive -> I’m not sure if this solving the play/pause problem. I cannot proper reproduce. What solves the play/pause problem is changing the “processing treads” to 2. - libmltrtaudio.dll -> missing in Kdenlive -> now the RtAudio works as well. To enable above I copy following folder from Shoutcut share/mlt to Kedenlive share/mlt: - opengl -> missing in Kdenlive - rtaudio -> missing in Kdnelive - sox -> missing in Kdnelive |

The only two effects I used in the entire video were rotoscope and blur (to achieve a censor effect). Unfortunately, trying to use the Alpha tools is much more cumbersome and will take much longer on each of the clips.
I'll give this a shot and report back. |

Okay, moving those files in did nothing to help.

You moved the 3 folders as well? If yes and you get in trouble just delete this 3 files and folders. Sorry for bad advice.

I feel bad for not replying.
After a reboot, everything went smoothly. Haven't had a crash since. |
