I have a 4 camera rig that I record live music with. I would like to produce a 4 screen preview video that I can give to the musicians so they can select a song or two for me to edit. What I am looking for is the the multitrack view in kdenlive. How can I generate this as an mp4?

I suspect this is a ffmpeg or mlt question but I do not know what search terms I should use to google it. Any pointers or ideas would be appreciated.

Do you mean: Split the screen into 4 that you can see all 4 videos simulations?

Stack the 4 videos on each other on video 1,2,3,4. Put onto each video the effect transform. Change on each video in the transform-effect the size to 50%. X=0, Y=0 is top left corner. So you have to move each video via X/Y on the place you want.

Worked like a charm. I have saved the 4 transforms as custom effects camera[1-4].
Thanks!
