Hello,

I have made a simple project with .png pictures and some titles over the pictures. However, when I render the project if I do not exclude the titles I will get a black screen where the titles should appear.

Does any one know how to fix this.
Thank you.

Title clip is above the picture. Right click on the title clip in the timeline -> add transition -> addition_alpha. Hover over the addition_alpha and move the edge as desired.

I tried the above method. The picture showed in the render. However, the tittle did not.
I also tried other blending modes to see if they would work. That resulted in the entire image being affected by the blending mode when rendered. However, in kdenlive the blending mode interacts with the text just fine. So, it appears that to the Render-er the text is not there at all.

Do you know what the problem is here?
I appreciate the help.
Thank you

Strange. Do you have the title clip one (1) track above the picture? Can you share a screenshot?

I tested on Windows 7, Kdenlive 18.08.1 with your setup and rendered it to MPG4,WEBM, MPG2 and it worked incl. the title. So it must be something with your render settings. Can you post a screenshot of the settings with “more options” clicked?

I have posted a picture of render settings.

I have also posed a picture of render configuration in case there is anything wrong there.

The settings look OK. I have the same. Maybe you have a PNG with an alpha channel. Click on transition “addition_alpha” and change it in the properties window to “affine” or another transition and try again.
