This issue has been bugging me for the past 9+ months. What happens is that I start a render, and it's progressing along at a decent rate. Chassis temps in my computer are around 95F or so, which is normal when rendering. I lock my computer, and between 5 to 30 minutes after locking my computer, something happens, and Kdenlive/mlt resorts to using like 1 core or something stupid like that.

I have 7 out of 8 cores used for rendering. I use Kdenlive version 15.12.3 on Xubuntu 16.04 LTS. Installed mlt version is 6.0.0-2. Installed frei0r version is 1.4-3.

Does anyone know what's going on and what can be done to remedy this problem?
I know it's not the CPU slowing down because I've shut off Intel SpeedStep from the BIOS. I'm at a loss here, and this problem is starting to seriously bug me.

Thanks.

I heard similar things when Windows 10 is “wake up” after hibernating. Switch off the Lock and try again.
