I know there was the identical thread just before Christmas (23rd?) but I have no idea what happened. Flatpack? So I am starting a new thread.

When I preview my timeline the photos and videos show up fine. When I render it the photos do not. The part where the photos would be show up as just a white screen. The photos are are jpgs. They were constructed in Photoshop. Again, the videos show up just fine.

Any help is appreciated.

I have the same problem, have been working on it for a few days, there are no errors when running it from the command line. I use the appimage format on Linux:
All images become white boxes when rendered.

Is there a work around for this? I have a project that I must finish soon.

Thanks,

Markus

Track Compositing -> try with switch to High Quality. See here: https://kdenlive.org/en/project/timelin ... mpositing/

Oh sure Markus. I post --> nothing for days. I post again --> nothing.
You post and immediately get an answer.
Mom and Dad always loved you best. :P

btw, I don't think that was it. I had it set correctly I think. I'll try again.

Thank you. I'm 94.7% certain that I had it set to High Quality before. But I just re-rendered the project with the setting definitely at High Quality with the same results.

I suspect it has something to do with the fact I have a video that is not 1920.

What I have is a video (mp4) that is 720x404, frame rate of 29.97. the project starts off with 4 jpg's that are 1578x 888 @72 dpi. (I thought I made them at 1920 x1080?). It probably doesn't make any difference but made them as multi-layered TIFF's in PS then exported to a jpg.

But that's all there is. Just 4 jpgs and then an about an hour long mp4. At the end of the video is a title for about 10 seconds. But that's it.

Just a guess: Export the picture as PNG and replace the JPG with the PNG in the timline -> still render problem?

Thanks for all the times you've tried to help. but I'm just giving up. I'm going with a different video editor.

I have tried that, both at preview and high quality: Same result

This was probably just because somebody saw that it concerned several people. There might not be enough help here in the forum and they might focus on issues that concern a lot of people. That is also why I posted it, that I also have the issue.

Alright, I can report that converting the pics to png does work and shows them in the final render. I used jpg and it definitely does not work with jpg bitmaps.
This is a regression bug, I remember that like 2 years ago, this still worked.

baxksterjohnmoli. Please try with AppImage 18.12.b. It should work.
