Video codec problem: nvenc_h264

Mon May 20, 2019 7:17 pm
Hello,
I use kdenlive version 18.12.1 from appimage on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS.
I render my video using nvenc_h264 video codec with GPU acceleration, and everything is ok.
My rendering comand for nvenc is:
properties=x264-medium f=mp4 vcodec=nvenc_h264 acodec=aac g=120 global_quality=%quality ab=%audiobitrate+'k'
When I try use new version kdenlive from appimage 19.04.1 I have error „Unsupported video codec: nvenc_h264”.
It is posible to use GPU accelerated rendering for Nvidia in new version kdenlive 19.04.1?

Unfortunately GPU acceleration is switched of in 19.04 due to many bugs. Dev team is working on it to re-integrate GPU acceleration.

Thank you very much for the information.
I hope that the development team will be able to solve the existing problems.
In that case I will wait for the version supporting GPU acceleration.

does kdenlive 20.12.0 support gpu encoding. I am using a gt 710 2gb gddr5 versions graphic card that was released in 2020. It is a decent card and I should be able to render my videos using it.
