Hello everyone,

I just installed kdenlie on my laptop running Archlinux. Those are the specs:

i7-8850H (undervolted, no throttling)
32GB RAM
1TB NVME SSD (Samsung 970 Pro)
GTX 1050 Ti with Max-Q Design
VA-API is enabled in kdenlive
How ever, nvidia acceleration won't work. I am using "optirun kdenlive" since I use bumblebee.

So I created a new project with some video files that I recorded with my Nexus 6P.
All the source clips are in 1080p and the total size is ~800mb.
The project itself lasts 4min 20secs, although when only rendering the selection it will create a 20min video (with everything after 4min 20secs being just black?)
I am trying to render it in .mp4 (with 1080p and 27.9fps) and besides selecting "12 cores" I use the standard settings.
Rendering time is about 22mins although only for the first few seconds (maybe minutes) all 12 CPUs are being used.
After 1-2 minutes it drops back to a total CPU usage of 10-17% although my CPU temps are low enough.

Any ideas? I would like to have nvidia acceleration and I would also like to push the maximum out of my CPU with kdenlive.

Some pictures of usage + temps:

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.04.2e to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/

If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your configuration or packaging.

19.04.2e solved some mlt rendering issues.
