Rendering for low end hardware

Mon Oct 28, 2019 7:53 pm
HI all

I'm a Kdenlive newbie, having just migrated from Openshot.

I'm rendering a video (HD 1920 25fps) for playback on an old laptop (i5-M450, 8G RAM, GT 325M graphics). It runs fine on my FX-8320, 16GB RAM, Radeon 3000 graphics desktop, but pretty much any format I try results in the video freezing on the laptop (whilst the audio goes merrily on) - usually at or near the same spot in the video.

Is there a set of parameters I can use to render the video for the laptop?

Thanks

If you are on Linux try with the AppImage. Could you identify on which point it frezzes? Are JPGEG's involved? If yes, change it to PNG.
