Hi,
I need a preview render (not the preview in the time line) that works real fast, I don't care about the quality. For some reason I cannot achieve this. I can change any parameter, the video quality, the resolution, the codec and the render times are always around 20 minutes. I want it to go down to 2 minutes, I don't care if the video is only 100 x 50 pixels. Why can't this be done? I have seen that there is this crf parameter that one can adjust, but I run the appimage version and I can't run the mlt script outside of kdenlive. You seem to be able to load a script to render, but when I edit it (it is in the kdenlive-renderqueue in the home dir), changing the crf value (was 45, I changed it to 80, higher means less quality) it does nothing, render time it EXACTLY the same. How can this be? Highquality, low quality, **** garbage quality, always taking the same? Is there any way to speed up a preview render by lowering the quality? |

Some hints. Do you tried in the render window:
- enable "parallel processing" - more option -> encoder speed / more threads / enable rescale. Delete AppImagerc -> see here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration |

Have parallel processing enabled (is by default) Used rescale to render at lower resolution (ZERO speedup) Changed encoder speed, no effect. Same with more theads (which is already at the maximum for my CPU) So yes, tried all that and no effect. |
