Hi,
Upon trying to stabilize and then render a short video (2mins) under Kdenlive 19.12.3 (latest) I ran into a nasty problem: Rendering crashes with an error message
Code: Select all
No LADSPA plugins were found! Check your LADSPA_PATH environment variable.
[mp4 @ 0x7f8cfc000f00] Using AVStream.codec to pass codec parameters to muxers is deprecated, use AVStream.codecpar instead. [mp4 @ 0x7f8cfc000f00] Using AVStream.codec to pass codec parameters to muxers is deprecated, use AVStream.codecpar instead.

Here's what I did:
  • Import the video (~2min) - mp4 taken on a smartphone
  • right-click > Clip jobs > stabilize: This takes about two minutes and I get a file of "filename.mp4.mlt"
  • I then pull the stabilized version of the video, i.e. the one with "mp4.mlt" to the timeline
  • Finally I click "Render" > MP4, leaving everything else set to default.
Rendering runs for about two minutes and the finally crashes with the error message above. :(

Here's what I've tried and found out so far:

  • It's independent of the original video. Tried with different videos - same story
  • Work with the non-stabilized version of the video -> Rendering works
  • Pull the stabilized version of the video (...mp4.mlt) to the timeline > select "Ungroup" in the Timeline. This splits audio and video. Then I delete the audio part so that we've got only the video left. When rendering this "video-only-video" rendering works - no crashes.

Maybe this has nothing to do with the problem I'm facing but I also discovered that with every start of kdenlinve I get tons of messages/warnings written to the console - here's an excerpt:
Code: Select all
$ ./kdenlive-19.12.3-x86_64.appimage

SUSPICIOUS: we weren't expecting a producer when parsing the timeline

For my environment:
Ubuntu (Linux) 18.04 64bit patched to the day
Kdenlinve 19.12.3 (AppImage).

Thanks much in advance for any clue...

Ladspa is missing. Kdenlive needs minimum Ubuntu 19.04, better 20.04.

Hi,
Thanks much for the hint - just tried the latest Kdenlive 20.04.0 (AppImage) a freshly installed Ubuntu Mate 20.04 - no "LADSPA"-errors any more ;D
