Hi,
So, just spent 2 days on making a tutorial video for YT on kdenlive 20.08 on Win10. Looks multple lanes, voice-over, effects etc. Looks fine in preview pane but after rendering completely screwed up: all lanes seem to be out of sync. Tried everything: removing and muting lanes, importing on older version (not working btw), opening and rendering on other (win10) machine, different quality settings and then some. As a last resort installed virtualbox and pop-os as a guest os. Opened there in kdenlive and rendered fine. Maybe I somehow did something wrong somehow (apart from using windows, I know but I could not find anything about this on the net so I post it here. I'm quite new to video edtiting so I made this also for practise. For those who want to see the result: video as it was supposed to be: https://youtu.be/1t4D_xpckDY screwed up video: https://youtu.be/q0psoyZ7lQg Even if you can't understand dutch, it's obvious that it's not good (skip to the 2nd half with white screens and such). Any thoughts or more info I need to provide? Sincerely, Patric |

Hello,
In 20.08, we adopted a new approach to many long standings bugs due to comma/point decimal separator issue (I guess your localization option uses ","?). Our tests did work on Linux, but obviously we didn't test enough on Windows with comma separator. We will try to find a fix soon, meanwhile you should either stick to 20.04, or switch you language options to "." separator (as in en-US). Sorry for the inconvenience! |

Thank you!
Oh, really? I would never have guessed this You mean localisation in kdenlive (where can I find that?) of windows as a whole? And you're right, we're comma separator people here. No problem, I have the feeling I'm going to use the heck out of this program and learned a lot along the way! Btw, I ordered a second SSD to install POP and use linux for this purpose (and maybe stick with it). If I can be of any use by testing a fix just let me know. P.S. Just tested it, your solution (change win locale) worked for me |
