Hello! Kdenlive doesn't seem to render transitions. If I watch the preview while editing, they appear as they should, but in the rendered video, they are gone. Any ideas how I could correct this?

In the rendering dialog disable "parallel processing". Some effects/transitions are not "parallel proof".

I am having the same problem as well. I know the laptop I am using has nice power (Ryzen 74700U [8threads/8core] but only 8gb of ram. It is using all threads when the render is MeLTing but no transitions at all...

Follow up:
Kdenlive is now working with melt-7 (the latest version) and transitions wont work unless you update the MLT framework to 7. Then look for in /usr/bin/melt-7 and configure kdenlive to use it in the settings->configure kdenlive. Make sure melt is referencing /usr/bin/melt-7 and transitions will work again! |

Hello, I had big problems with "Time Remapping": Version 21.08.01 and .02. My system is Manjaro Linux. When rendering, only blank videos are created, so only a white image, sometimes but rarely black.
The AppImage does everything correctly. Now I have solved the problem: In the Kdenlive default settings it says > environment > MLT environment > Melt path > usr/bin/melt6. If I change to melt or melt-7, everything works fine. Question: Does anyone know which is better to select: melt or melt-7? |

I had a similar problem - "Wipe" transitions were showing in the preview but were not rendered.
Turning off parallel processing had no effect. Changing my melt version to melt-7 solved the problem and rendered the transitions. My system had melt (version 6.2) autoinstalled, and melt-7 (version 7.8) manually installed. I uninstalled melt (version 6.2) and restarted Kdenlive. System: Kdenlive version: 22.04.3 MLT version: 7.8.0 Linux: Ubuntu 20.04
