Hi, is it possible to render without recode the clips like in AVIDEMUX? Just recode the parts with transitions or effects? There should be an easy way to choose the same format from e.g. the first clip.

Hmm, I thought this is what kdenlive does: Any frame with an effect gets sent to MLT, all the others go straight to ffmpeg for encoding which takes place based on your rendering profile and settings.
